Where the Journey Ends and Relaxation Begins
Welsh roasts, fresh local fish and homemade puddings every Sunday in our 2 AA Rosette Orangery, a mile from Tenby.
There's a particular kind of Sunday that earns its name — no rushing, no clock-watching, just good people round a table, a proper roast in front of you and the afternoon stretching out with nowhere to be. That's the Ultimate Sunday Lunch at Trefloyne Manor, served every Sunday in The Orangery, our 2 AA Rosette restaurant, just over a mile from Tenby in the quiet of the Ritec Valley.
If you've been hunting for the best Sunday lunch in Tenby, here's what makes the short drive out to Penally worth it.
A roast built from the best of Pembrokeshire
The difference is on the plate, and it starts with where the food comes from. Our roasts read like a roll-call of the surrounding county and coast: rosemary and garlic-studded Welsh leg of lamb, sirloin of Pembrokeshire beef with a proper Yorkshire pudding, and roast chicken with sage and onion stuffing — each served with crispy roast potatoes, honey-glazed carrots and parsnips, seasonal vegetables and a cauliflower and leek bake. Roasts start from around £18.50. (Local produce is subject to availbility)
The meat comes from local family-run butchers and farms, the fish is landed on the quay at Tenby and along the Pembrokeshire coast, and the vegetables are picked from over the hedge at Ritec Valley Organics. It's the kind of provenance you can taste — and the reason The Orangery holds two AA Rosettes.
More than a roast
Sunday lunch here isn't only about the roast. Begin with native Atlantic Edge oysters or a broccoli and stilton soup, and if someone at the table would sooner have fish, our "Naked Fish" board changes with the day's catch — a fillet of sewin, hake or sea bass, or a whole Caldey Island lobster straight off Richard's boat (subject to availability). Then, leave room for a sticky toffee pudding or a Welsh cheeseboard to finish.
Because we cook to the seasons, the menu shifts through the year, so the dishes here are a recent sample rather than a fixed list — please call us for this week's offering.
Make a proper day of it
The beauty of Trefloyne is that you don't have to head straight home after pudding. The manor sits in its own ancient woodland — part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with the prehistoric Hoyles Mouth cave close by — so a gentle stroll to settle lunch is right on the doorstep. For the golfers in the family, our Longbury course offers eighteen holes of parkland golf with rolling Pembrokeshire countryside for company, and the Dovecote spa is there if unwinding is more your pace. It's a whole afternoon out, not just a meal.
Father's Day Sunday lunch in Tenby
This year Father's Day falls on Sunday 21 June 2026, and there are few better ways to spoil your dad than a long, unhurried Sunday lunch he doesn't have to lift a finger for. Welsh beef and a drink out on the terrace, the grandchildren welcome — our Trefloyne Tots menu keeps the little ones happy — and the kind of afternoon that feels like a proper treat rather than a quick bite out.
Father's Day tables go quickly, so it's well worth booking ahead.
